20-year-old Pip Blom releases her new single ‘I Think I’m In Love’ later this month (17th March); but before then you can hear it below, first on Dork. It’s an addictively catchy lo-fi gem, with heaps of attitude. “So far, I’ve recorded all my music in my own little home studio,” explains Pip. “I played all the tracks myself, I mixed the songs myself. And along the way I learned how to do all this. “But this track is different! I made the demo of ‘I Think I’m In Love’ on my own like before, but after that me and my brother Tender joined forces with Raven Aartsen from Mozes And The Firstborn, a band we really love. “Raven is a great musician, a brilliant drummer, and he is a super producer as well. The three of us spent some time pre-producing the track. Raven drummed, Tender played bass and guitar, I sang and played guitar. We were trying stuff, adding elements, skipping bits until we had the structure we loved. “After that we recorded the song in the Schenk Studio of Jan Schenk. So this is the first track that has been recorded in a proper studio and the first song I didn’t play everything myself on. I love the result and hope others do too.”
