The Pretty Reckless return with new single 'When I Wake Up' and fifth album details

The Pretty Reckless have unveiled plans for their fifth studio album, 'Dear God', set to arrive on 26th June through Fearless Records. Alongside the album announcement, the band have dropped a new track, 'When I Wake Up'.

Taylor Momsen has explained the inspiration behind the latest single: "'When I Wake Up' is the story of a dream becoming a nightmare. When a life of excess leads you on a rollercoaster that is doomed to crash but you just can't see it. It's a good time…"

The fourteen-track record also features 'For I Am Death', which arrived earlier in 2025 as the group's first material since their 2021 album 'Death By Rock And Roll'. That record notably included a contribution from Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello.

Accompanying the album news, The Pretty Reckless have confirmed a sprawling run of live shows across North America, Europe and the UK throughout the latter half of 2026. A pre-sale for those who have ordered the album opens at 10am local time on 17th March, followed by general availability from 10am local time on 20th March.
