Primavera Sound has just announced the first wave of names for 2023, including Kendrick Lamar, Halsey, Blur and Depeche Mode

  • November 29, 2022

The first drop of artists for Primavera Sound 2023 has just landed, with Kendrick Lamar, Blur and Depeche Mode amongst those who will be playing in Barcelona and Madrid.

It was announced earlier this year that the festival will be split across two sites for 2023, one at Barcelona’s Parc del Fòrum and the other at Madrid’s Ciudad del Rock for the first time ever. The lineup will be mirrored across both sites over two consecutive weekends, with a handful of midweek performances in the cities from the likes of Pet Shop Boys, Confidence Man and Jake Bugg.

The festival is set to take place from 31st May to 4th June in Barcelona, and will follow from 7th June to 11th June in Madrid.

Blur and Halsey will be the first of the festival’s star-studded headliners, ensuring the Thursday evening antics kick off with a bang. Friday night belongs to Kendrick Lamar and Depeche Mode, and it’s down to Rosalía and Calvin Harris to round off the main stage events for the weekend.

Further down the bill, big names like Fred Again.., Bleachers, Måneskin, FKA Twigs and Loyle Carner are set to play the back-to-back weekends.

The full lineup, with over 200 names set to play, is as follows.

Tickets for both the Barcelona and Madrid events will go on sale at 11am GMT on Thursday 1st December via Dice, with full details available here.
