Rina Sawayama is set to perform live on Strictly Come Dancing this weekend.
The appearance is set to feature in the sixth episode of the dancing programme’s 20th series – recent musical guests include Robbie Williams, Adam Lambert, George Ezra, and Becky Hill.
It arrives as part of the Halloween special, which is fitting bearing in mind Sawyama’s recent releases include ‘Phantom’ and ‘Frankenstein’ – both of which are cuts from her recent third album, ‘Hold The Girl’, which Dork’s 5-star review said succeeds in, “turning the dial up to 11 on every track.”
The Japanese–British singer has already proved her live chops through a flurry of performances this year, including stops at Latitude and Big Weekend – she is concluding her current UK tour leg tonight at London’s 02 Academy Brixton, where she will be collecting food and cash donations in support of the Trussell Trust.
It is not Sawayama‘s first TV appearance, either; she performed pop banger ‘This Hell’ on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show earlier this year.
You can tune in to Strictly Come Dancing on BBC One at 7:20pm this Sunday, October 30th, and the show will then be available to stream via BBC iPlayer here.
