Sam Gellaitry has dropped his new mixtape, ‘VF VOL II’, which features a brand new single, ‘THE ONE’.

The Scottish artist and producer has written, sung, played, produced, mixed and mastered every single track himself, bar one sample borrowed from YouTube. As a release, it pushes his boundaries further forwards, advancing on 2019’s statement piece, ‘Viewfinder Vol. 1: PHOSPHENE.’

Speaking on ‘VF VOL II’, Sam Gellaitry shares: “I really wanted to put out a project that doesn’t conform to any genre. This project, with the inclusion of my vocals and songwriting, has been the most open-minded and liberating experience I’ve felt creating music for a very long time.”

He has highlighted track 2, ‘THE ONE’, as a new single, on which he says:  “This track is very much therapy based – typing up my feelings on my notes app after coming up with the melody and pairing them together to express myself.  ‘THE ONE’ also focuses on being able to reserve saying exactly how you feel with words and letting the emotions speak for themselves which is something I learn more and more as I get older.  I’m super happy with how this one turned out and I’m glad I finally discovered the verses after having the beat on my hard drive for so long.”

VF VOL II’ also features all five previous singles, including ‘NEW WAVE’, ‘SEROTONIN’ and a demo version of Sam Gellaitry’s collaboration with PinkPantheress, ‘Picture in my mind’.
