Sigur Rós to bring orchestral world tour to a close with European dates
The collaborative project with conductor Robert Ames wraps up this September.

Sigur Rós have confirmed a final stretch of European dates for their long-running orchestral tour, bringing the collaborative project with conductor Robert Ames and local orchestras to a conclusion.
Beginning at Edinburgh's Playhouse on 31st August, the run takes in stops in Glasgow, Belfast, Dublin, Lyon, Barcelona, Porto, Bilbao and Lisbon before concluding with two nights at Berlin's Uber Eats Music Hall on 20th and 21st September. Each date will feature the band performing alongside a different regional orchestra, drawing from their extensive back catalogue as well as 2023 album 'ÁTTA'.
Speaking about the forthcoming run, Kjartan Sveinsson said: "We're excited to be going back to the orchestral shows in September. It is always very special to sit in the middle of an orchestra surrounded by all these fantastic players we have played with the past four years. Thanks to everyone that has come to our shows, all the players, the crew and a special thanks to our conductor and arranger Rob Ames and our main arranger María Huld Markan Sigfúsdóttir."
Over the course of the wider tour, the Icelandic trio have performed alongside ensembles including the London Contemporary Orchestra, the Wordless Music Orchestra, the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Taiwan National Symphony Orchestra, Brisbane Philharmonic and Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, among others. Notable venues along the way have included Rome's Sala Santa Cecilia, Paris' Salle Playel, the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City and London's Royal Albert Hall.
General sale tickets become available on 20th March at 10am local time.
