Small Pond have confirmed their new compilation ‘Emerging Volume V’ with Hollowpoint’s ‘wait til morning’, and a Brighton launch event

Free Brighton launch features performances, a DIY workshop, and 12-inch vinyl release.

Small Pond have confirmed the fifth instalment of their ‘Emerging’ compilation series, with ‘Emerging Volume V’ set to spotlight 20 young artists. The first track from the set, Hollowpoint’s ‘wait til morning’, is out now.

Developed with support from Arts Council England, the initiative offers selected acts aged 16-25 in Brighton, Crawley and surrounding areas rehearsal, recording and release opportunities through Small Pond’s studio, label and marketing set-up. The process culminates in a compilation pressed to 12-inch vinyl and issued on digital platforms, set for release on 14th November.

Now in its fifth edition, the Emerging Artists project has previously supported Brighton names including el moono, CLT DRP and Lambrini Girls.

The full line-up for ‘Emerging Volume V’ features Aeternum, Artemisia Nathair, Bedbugz, Bench Team, Carva, Fred Bennett, Had Sandy, Hollowpoint, IN HER EYES, Insectus, is this ok, Krumpets, M. Woodroe, Medium Sized Dog, Mirepoix, mydiary., Ned Ashcroft, Sick-Days, Spider, and Swan Deep.

A launch event at Green Door Store, Brighton, on 15th November will include performances from Had Sandy, Sick-Days and M. Woodroe, plus a workshop with Sarah Maynard titled Being Industriously Independent. Entry is free for 18+, with a workshop from 6pm and music from 7:30pm.
