spill tab has returned with ‘CRÈME BRÛLÉE!’, her third track release of the year.
The track premiered as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record last night, and was officially released today, November 9th, via Arista Records. It is the French Korean American artist’s third single of 2022, following ‘Splinter’ and ‘Sunburn’ - she recently performed both previous tracks in a session for Saint Laurent, which you can view here.
spill tab’s new single was produced by Solomonophonic (Dora Jar, Remi Wolf, Wallows) and hints toward a larger release, which is expected to be shared in 2023. Until then, ‘CRÈME BRÛLÉE!’ offers a chaotic and simmering example of alt-pop maximalism.
“‘CRÈME BRÛLÉE!’ is the result of Solomonophonic and I wanting to make the zazziest song we could,” she has shared. “We spent many days tweaking and creating different dynamics, wanting to make it fluid but jarring at the same time. I'm super excited that it's finally out.”
