The Maccabees are going to play their first show in eight years next summer, and they've unveiled some of the supports.
Headlining
All Points East on 24th August 2025, the performance at London's Victoria Park will mark a decade since the release of their final album
'Marks To Prove It', which hit Number 1 in the UK.
The band are also collaborating with festival organisers to curate the rest of the day's lineup, with the initial bill featuring Bombay Bicycle Club, Dry Cleaning, The Cribs, Nilüfer Yanya, The Murder Capital, Divorce and Prima Queen.
The first steps toward the reunion began at guitarist
Hugo White's wedding in February 2020, where the possibility of performing their song '
Pelican' was discussed. Singer
Orlando Weeks explains: "I didn't go because it was The Maccabees playing together again, but because it was a beautiful gesture to be invited and to contribute to the spirit of the day. What I wanted, band aside, was to find a way to be in each other's lives in some way."
