A season of talks, performances and late nights runs at King's Cross through summer 2026.

Anna Calvi is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist born on 24 September 1980 in London. She has received three Mercury Prize nominations, one Brit Award nomination, and a European Border Breakers Award. Critics have noted her as a virtuoso guitarist and for her operatic contralto voice. She has an androgynous stage presence. Calvi graduated from the University of Southampton with a degree in music, having studied violin. She worked as a private guitar instructor before pursuing a music career. Her debut album, titled 'Anna Calvi,' was released in 2011 through Domino Records and received critical acclaim, earning a Mercury Prize nomination for Album of the Year, a Brit Awards nomination for British Breakthrough Act in 2012, and a European Border Breakers Award. Her second album, 'One Breath,' was released in 2013 and also received a Mercury Prize nomination. In 2014, she released the EP 'Strange Weather' and composed music for a stage production of the opera 'The Sandman,' directed by Robert Wilson. Her third album, 'Hunter,' was released in August 2018 and earned her a third Mercury Prize nomination.
