My Bloody Valentine are definitely, 100% releasing a new album next year. The band, who reformed in 2007 and released their third album 'm b v' in 2013, are currently working on a vinyl reissue of 1991's 'Loveless' which is taking up a lot of their time. During a chat with Pitchfork, the bands Kevin Shields also let slip that the band will be touring and releasing new material in 2018. "We started recording it a year ago, and then we just kept on stopping because of this (reissue project). So the last time we worked on it was a month or two months ago. I’m still hovering over this project until it’s basically in manufacturing, then it’s back into the album. Finishing it. Because we’re trying to do gigs starting in the summer. We’re going to play live again, so that’s always a really good way to guarantee that we’ll get the record done." "Oh, we one hundred percent will (release it next year)," he continues. "One hundred percent. Basically, the record started off as an EP, and I realized it has to be, like, a mini-album, because it’s going to be at least 40 minutes long. So it’s going to be an album, but I don’t really know how many tracks it’s going to be. It’ll probably be seven or eight, by the looks of it." Isn't that good news.
