Tom A. Smith has announced ‘Put On A Record Tommy’, a six-track EP arriving in May
Rowetta guests on the title track of the Fiction Records release.
North East songwriter Tom A. Smith is releasing a new EP called 'Put On A Record Tommy' through Fiction Records. The collection arrives digitally on 1st May, followed by a limited black vinyl LP edition on 12th June.
Across six tracks, the EP brings together material including recent single 'SFX' alongside five further cuts. Among them is the title track, which features a guest vocal from Rowetta. The full tracklist reads: 'SFX', 'Our Song', 'The Only One', 'Put On A Record Tommy' (feat. Rowetta), 'No Matter What' and 'The Band'.
Speaking about the project, Tom said: "I can't wait for you all to meet Tommy. You want a record? He'll play it. 'Tommy's Dance Place' opens on May 1st and it's everything you'd want it to be."
Elsewhere, it has been confirmed that Tom A. Smith will portray Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) in a forthcoming musical memoir film titled Ebony McQueen.
