Trash Boat have announced their first-ever headline show at London’s
KOKO, celebrating the 10th anniversary of debut album
‘Nothing I Write You Can Change What You’ve Been Through’.Taking place on Friday 2nd October, the show will see the St Albans band revisit the 2016 record that helped establish them as one of the UK alternative scene’s most emotionally resonant new voices.
Released during a period of change within British alternative music, ‘Nothing I Write You…’ became a defining release for many fans thanks to its vulnerability and deeply personal songwriting.
Since then, the band have continued to evolve through releases including ‘
Crown Shyness’, ‘
Don’t You Feel Amazing?’ and 2024’s ‘
Heaven Can Wait’, alongside this year’s EP ‘
Even If I Never Get There’.
The KOKO date also follows a difficult recent period for the band, after the cancellation of their 2025 tour and the release of documentary film ‘Getting There’, which explored the challenges they faced behind the scenes. The film premiered at London’s
Rio Cinema earlier this year and is due to arrive on YouTube in late September.
Ahead of the anniversary show, Trash Boat will also perform ‘Nothing I Write You Can Change What You’ve Been Through’ in full at
Slam Dunk Festival this weekend.
