Witch Fever are back with their new single ‘Dead To Me’

Manchester’s Witch Fever return after two years with ‘Dead To Me’, blending raw punk and experimental elements in their heaviest release yet.

Artists: Witch Fever

Witch Fever have released their new single ‘Dead To Me’ via Music For Nations.

The Manchester four-piece’s latest track marks their first release in two and a half years, following their 2022 debut album ‘Congregation’, and was produced by Chris W Ryan, known for his work with NewDad, Just Mustard, and Enola Gay.

Bassist Alex Thompson explains: “We really wanted to sound bigger. We wanted to push our sound in ways that we wouldn’t be able to do if we were just playing in a room together.”

Vocalist Amy Walpole‘s lyrics draw from her experiences in the Charismatic Church. “I’m just saying that all the elders in the church that let me down are dead to me!” she states.

Thompson adds: “When I’m playing it live, there’s a bunch of other people I’m thinking about who are dead to me. Anyone can listen to it and be like, ‘yeah, fuck this person’ – which is always a fun energy to play with. It’s like a form of release.”
