Y have shared ‘Duplicate’, a sharp new single about narcissists and control
The London five-piece preview their 'ENTER' EP, due in May.

Enigmatic collective Y have unveiled 'Duplicate', their latest single arriving via SO Recordings and Hideous Mink Records. The track serves as the third offering lifted from the group's forthcoming 'ENTER' EP, which lands on 8th May.
Built around the core partnership of Adam Brennan and Sophie Coppin, Y emerged during a stretch of isolation as an outlet for boredom and frustration. The five-piece, rounded out by Dan GB on bass, Fells on drums and Harry Mchale on saxophone, have previously previewed the EP with singles 'Skipper' and 'May'.
Of the new single, the band explained: "'Duplicate' is a song about narcissists. Control freaks wanting to create a world full of carbon copies of themselves. To echo their beliefs. Just don't dare fly too high or have an original thought. It's a cult mentality. It's a con. A mirage of strength in numbers."
Alongside the release, Y have their first UK headline tour running through May and festival slots including The Great Escape in Brighton.
