YAZ is back with her romantic new single 'Retrograde', the first from her debut EP
The track marks YAZ's return after a two-year hiatus and previews her upcoming debut EP.

London-based pop artist YAZ has released her new single 'Retrograde'.
The track marks her return to music after a two-year hiatus, and is the first from her upcoming debut EP.
YAZ says of the inspiration behind 'Retrograde', "'Retrograde' is about feeling a magnetic connection to somebody. Like you can't stop thinking about that person but then you hide those feelings behind something trivial like astrology - falling in love can be scary sometimes. Blaming characteristics and relationships on a star sign or the time of year feels like such a thing amongst me and my friends, and I thought playing with that and using it in a romantic way would be really fun and lyrically interesting."
She adds, "This song is so special to me because it's the first single from my debut EP which has been in the works for a long time. Retrograde is the first step into the world i'm creating, and this new sound resonates and feels so true to me, not just as an artist but as someone who listens to music all day everyday. I'm so excited for people to hear it."
