Years & Years and
Yard Act are locked in a chart battle for this week's UK number 1 album.
Currently, Olly Alexander is in the lead with new album 'Night Call' - Years & Years first full length and potentially second number 1. It's the first full-length since it was announced the band will move forwards as a solo project, following the departure of Emre Türkmen and Mikey Goldsworthy earlier this year. Years & Years previously topped the album charts with the release of their debut album '
Communion' back in 2015.
Newcomers Yard Act, however, are hot on his heels with their debut album '
The Overload' - currently the biggest selling album on physical formats.
The final results of this week's chart will be announced on Friday (28th January).
Years & Years will shortly be off on a headline tour of the UK and Ireland to promote the release of 'Night Call'.
