About This Track

'Can I Get It' finds Adele laying bare a hunger for commitment. The song pivots away from casual entanglement, instead painting a portrait of someone willing to surrender entirely to genuine connection. She offers herself as melody, rhythm, rhyme; the language moves between devotion and desperation, between the promise to love "til the end of time" and the admission that without this particular love, she is hollow. The production, courtesy of Max Martin and Shellback, sits behind rather than beneath her vocal. The track builds from restraint into something more urgent, the repetition of the title phrase accumulating weight as she circles back to the central question: can she have this, and have it now? It is less a plea than a demand, sung with the certainty of someone who has already decided what she needs.
