About This Track

'CURSED' by AViVA is a 2021 pop track from the album 'VOLUME II'. The lyrics set a fraught, agitated scene, with the narrator tearing through their own thoughts and questioning why someone is wasting their time. There is a sense of misunderstanding and misplacement, then a feeling of being pulled down repeatedly, twice described as something the other person does, even when the narrator thinks they are out of it. The final line points straight at the instigator, making the tone accusatory and trapped. A single phrase captures the punch of it: ‘dragged me down, down, down’.

"CURSED" is a single by AViVA, from the album VOLUME II, released 28th October 2021. The track is 2:42 long. It's filed under Pop. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 2 articles about AViVA.

Lyrics

CURSED

Tearing through the backstreets of my mind
Why you wanna waste my time?
Thought that we were hanging out
But now you'll understand
I got as close as I can

They dragged me down, down, down
I didn't make a sound
And now that I'm out now
You've dragged me down, down, down again

You, you
You've got me
You, you
You've got me cursed, cursed
Cursed, got me cursed

You, you
You've got me
You, you
You've got me cursed, cursed
Cursed, got me cursed

Running 'cause I'm running out of time
Feel like freedom's slipping from my life
There's a cure they got me begging for
But they don't hand it out
I've gotta get back

They dragged me down, down, down
I didn't make a sound
And now that I'm out now
You've dragged me down, down, down again

You, you
You've got me
You, you
You've got me cursed, cursed
Cursed, got me cursed

You, you
You've got me
You, you
You've got me cursed, cursed
Cursed, got me cursed

They dragged me down, down, down
But I got out, out, out
Thought I was found, found, found
You dragged me down, down, down

They dragged me down, down, down
But I got out, out, out
Thought I was found, found, found
You dragged me down, down, down again

You, you
You've got me
You, you
You've got me cursed, cursed
Cursed, got me cursed

You, you
You've got me
You, you
You've got me cursed, cursed
Cursed, got me cursed
