About This Track

'BRB' captures the tension between desire and duty. Bazzi sings about a lover asking him to wait whilst he tends to work obligations, the chorus built around a simple plea: they cannot love you like I do, so stay until I'm back. The song moves between intimate confession and reassurance, each verse deepening the physical and emotional stakes before the refrain pulls back to the central conflict of absence and return. The track is structured around that push and pull. Pre-chorus wishes freeze time; the chorus returns to the practical reality of overtime and delayed reunion. It's a love song that doesn't pretend separation is romantic, instead framing it as something to survive together. The production, drum-laden and measured, gives the intimacy room to breathe without overselling it.
