'Stereotypes' by Blur is a rock track on 'The Great Escape', released in 1995. The lyrics take aim at suburban fantasy, framing domestic life through flirtation and a culture of swapping partners, with a lightly wicked, teasing edge. Early lines sketch residents dreaming, then pivot to a woman’s restlessness and suggestively casual cheer, before moving to the provocation of “wife-swapping” as a future scenario. The refrain of accommodation and suitability lands as satire, using playful imagery and pop rhythms to underline the absurdity of its claims.
"Stereotypes" is a single by Blur, from the album The Great Escape, released 5th September 1995. The track is 3:11 long. It's filed under Rock. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 20 articles about Blur.

From its place on Bombay Bicycle Club’s 2009 debut to documented finales at Reading and Glastonbury, ‘Always Like This’ has become a reliable last word for the band.

Noel Gallagher’s handwritten ‘Live Forever’ lyrics and Jarvis Cocker’s pink silk glove are among the lots.

'The Narcissist' is a hat tipped to a band more than comfortable in who they are now, still capable of being just as brilliant as they always were.

The news comes alongside the first track from the album, 'The Narcissist', which you can check out now.

They'll play four intimate shows next month.
It's taken from new album 'SCUM', set for release this August.
