About This Track

The lead single from BTS's first album since their military enlistment, 'Swim' frames devotion as submersion. Released in March 2026, the track uses water as metaphor: the group sings of diving into deep feeling, of escaping a 'mad world' for a place where time stops mattering. The chorus repeats the image of watching someone move through water, the act of swimming itself standing in for the pull of unwavering attachment.

Lili Reinhart appears in the music video, and the album draws on motifs from the traditional Korean folk song 'Arirang'. The production stays buoyant, the verses moving between introspection and release, the hook built around the simplest declaration of intent: 'I just wanna dive.'
