Crash - Commentary

Before writing these songs, we spoke through the subject and moment in detail. This song was written at the start of the process in going back to the start of my life. It was recorded with a full band, but ended up being just piano and a little bit of guitar. I wanted, that kind of Joe Cocker feeling, obviously, after being named after one of his songs "Delta Lady". Now, I ended up sharing the story that this song was about, uhm, how I entered into the world. I started sharing how I was born from a car crash and that I was premature. And we both had to really fight for our life when I first came into the world. And when, when I entered into mum's world, I told this story to Trilogy and they all started crying and when they first got on the microphone and started singing, their absolutely beautiful heartfelt way. In that first, "I got faith," it, uhm, you actually, you really hear that it's distorting. But I left it in because the passion was there as they were all so, from their heart and soul, in that moment.
