About This Track

The fourth track on 'Relapse: Refill', Eminem's 2009 reissue that added seven bonus cuts to the original 'Relapse', adopts the voice of a narrator recounting childhood abuse in graphic, surreal detail. The verses spiral from trauma into cartoonish self-harm imagery, the tone lurching between horror and absurdist slapstick. Eminem credits the lines to his Shady persona, the chorus asking whether he's lost sanity entirely.

The production stays sparse, letting the lyrical content dominate. The subject matter is extreme even by the standards of an album built around relapse and violence, the track designed to provoke rather than comfort. It remains one of the most controversial entries in Eminem's catalogue, a boundary-test that some listeners read as catharsis and others as gratuitous shock.
