'High' by Feeder is a 1997 rock track from the album 'Polythene'. The lyrics sketch a dreamlike walk through a vivid, leaf-strewn landscape, with the narrator staring at trees as something happens on their hand, then encountering a man who feels “worn by the sun”. From there, the song turns outward into an intermittent departure, ending on the line about getting high. It is, at heart, a surreal, slightly disorienting fantasy of escape.
