About This Track

L-Boy opens the album with a spoken-word skit that amounts to a roast of Odd Future's roster. The track is an introduction in the loosest sense; rather than setting a musical tone, it establishes a comedic one, with L-Boy delivering a rapid-fire series of insults aimed at each member of the collective. The humour is crude and unsparing, a fixture of Odd Future's early aesthetic. The piece functions as a threshold moment, a verbal gauntlet before the tape proper begins. It sets expectations for the irreverence and shock value that characterised the group's output at the time.

"Hi." is a track by L-Boy, from the album The OF Tape, Vol. 2, released 20th March 2012. Full lyrics are available below.
