Bella Poarch and Lauv have teamed up for a "cheeky" new single, 'Crush'
"It’s about being in the moment and indulging in the simple things like binging Love Island," she says.
About This Track
'Enemies' finds Lauv caught in the wreckage of a relationship that has curdled into something unrecognisable. The song turns on a simple, aching question: why must two people who once loved each other now treat each other as strangers? He traces the small cruelties of that distance, the cold shoulder and the averted gaze, the exhaustion of having to plan his nights around avoiding someone who was once central to his life. The song's strength lies in its refusal to assign blame. Lauv acknowledges the hurt on both sides, the weight of shared history that makes even basic civility feel impossible. He doesn't ask for reconciliation or renewed romance, only for some acknowledgment that what they had was real, that the scars they carry are proof of something that mattered. The chorus circles back to that central bewilderment: after everything, why has it come to this?
"Enemies" is a track by Lauv, released 31st May 2018. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 12 articles about Lauv.
