About This Track

'EDUCATION' by Lights is a pop track from the album 'A6EXTENDED', released in 2026. The lyrics are framed around touch and anticipation, with the imagery of bodies and “the pages are turning” used to suggest change in desire and a shift in what the speaker wants. As the verses build, the language keeps returning to sensation, rising excitement, and the sense that something is moving to a new chapter. The overall tone is intimate and restless, more absorbed in the felt immediacy than in any outside story.

"EDUCATION" is a single by Lights, from the album A6EXTENDED, released 30th January 2026. The track is 3:50 long. It's filed under Pop. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 1 article about Lights.

Lyrics

EDUCATION

I can feel your hands
Running all over me
A typical event in anatomy
And I know although I like the rush
I can feel it rising off of the both of us

And oh, your love is lifting me up

Maybe I'm changing
Maybe I need more
Maybe I want things I didn't before
The pages are turning
You know that I'm learning
I can let my hair down
'Cause I keep my head off the ground

Singing oh, your love is lifting me up
To a higher education

I could fly right now
I could cry right now
I could die right now
I could feel the blood all rushing to the top of my mind
Maybe I'm changing
Maybe I need more
Maybe I want things I didn't before
The pages are turning
You know that I'm learning
I can let my hair down
'Cause I keep my head off the ground

Singing oh, your love is lifting me up
To a higher education

Letting songs wear me down
But I'm trying to let you show me love (Ayy)
Letting songs wear me down
But I'm trying to let that be enough

'Cause oh, your love is lifting me up

Maybe I'm changing
Maybe I need more
Maybe I want things I didn't before
'Cause the pages are turning
You know that I'm learning
I can let my hair down
As you keep my feet off the ground

Singing oh, your love is lifting me up
To a higher education (Higher, oh)
Singing oh, your love is lifting me up
To a higher education (Higher, oh)
Singing oh, your love is lifting me up
To a higher education (Higher, oh)
