About This Track

The closing track of Lisa's debut album 'Alter Ego' strips away the costume changes and persona-hopping that define the rest of the record, offering something closer to unguarded feeling. Where much of the album sprints between rap swagger and Y2K pop gloss, 'Dream' slows to a ballad's pace, built around the ache of a relationship that ended but refuses to fade from memory. Lisa sings of missing someone, of imagined reunions and the bittersweet refuge of sleep, where the past can be replayed like a film scene.

The lyrics sketch a portrait of longing without resolution: unanswered calls, friends who offer no news, the hope that they might at least be friends someday. It's a rare moment of vulnerability on an album otherwise engineered for global pop domination, a glimpse of the person behind the technical brilliance and perfectly calibrated beats.
