About This Track

'Animal' by Mabel is a 2022 track from the album 'About Last Night...'. The lyrics frame a predatory, glamour-soaked courtship, with the refrain-like insistence that she is “cold as ice” and a more mercenary edge to the relationship stakes. It is all late-night confidence and tight, rhythmic admonitions, imagining attraction as a gamble and love as something she plays for, rather than something she surrenders to.

"Animal" is a track by Mabel, from the album About Last Night..., released 15th July 2022. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 15 articles about Mabel.

Lyrics

Animal

[Intro]

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah

Put your money on her

Put your money on her

Mm, mm, animal

[Verse 1]

Soft to the touch, she got her eyes on us

She's out of luck on love, she's into darker stuff

She's lookin' left and right, she knows she's cold as ice

She's out of luck on love, she's into darker stuff

[Pre-Chorus]

'Cause she's an animal, animal

She's a animal, animal

Animal

[Chorus]

('Cause she's an animal, animal)

She gon' eat you up tonight (Animal, animal)

(Animal, animal)

You gon' need her love for life (Animal, animal)

Ani-ani-ani-animal, she gon' give it to you

Ani-ani-ani-animal, let's go wild tonight

Ani-ani-ani-animal, if you're comin' home with her

'Bout to make a grown man purr, ah

[Verse 2]

You know shе don't play nice, she got an appetitе

She comes alive at night, she got a hazel eye

She had to pay the price to live the life she needs

But little did you know, that girl is me

[Pre-Chorus]

Bitch, I'm a animal, animal

I'm a animal, animal

Animal

[Chorus]

('Cause she's an animal, animal)

She gon' eat you up tonight (Animal, animal)

(Animal, animal)

You gon' need her love for life (Animal, animal)

Ani-ani-ani-animal, she gon' give it to you

Ani-ani-ani-animal, let's go wild tonight

Ani-ani-ani-animal, if you're comin' home with her

'Bout to make a grown man purr, ah

[Bridge]

She gon' eat you up tonight (Yeah)

You gon' need her love for life

[Chorus]

('Cause she's an animal, animal) Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

She gon' eat you up tonight (Oh, animal, animal)

(Animal, animal)

You gon' need her love for life (Animal, animal)

Ani-ani-ani-animal, she gon' give it to you

Ani-ani-ani-animal, let's go wild tonight

Ani-ani-ani-animal, if you're comin' home with her

'Bout to make a grown man purr, ah
