About This Track

'S.I.' by Mk.gee is a track on the album 'Fool - EP' released in 2018. The lyrics place the speaker in a tense, pleading situation that keeps circling the same address, with recurring images of being around someone’s family, driving through the night, and refusing to go home, all delivered with a weary loneliness. There is a call that echoes through the lines, captured in the opening address, “Oh Mr. Jackson, why?”. The overall feeling is restless and defensive, as if the speaker is trying to talk their way out of isolation while time drags on.

"S.I." is a track by Mk.gee, from the album Fool - EP, released 16th November 2018. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 2 articles about Mk.gee.

Lyrics

S.I.

Oh Mr. Jackson, why?

Yeah every time I come around your here

Your daughter in my car

But your voice, my ear

You head outside the door

Been there all year

I don't want to go home

We can drive up in my mom's car all night

Don't wanna take you back home

I'm so tired of being alone

It's gettin' dark outside

Almost twelve o'clock

But it feels like two

I can't see your face

But I feel you

Everything is new

With you

I don't want to go home

We can drive up in my mom's car all night

Don't wanna take you back home

I'm so tired of being alone

Found somebody to share the night with

Fill up the void in my heart quick

In my heart quick

Found somebody to share the night with

Fill up the void in my heart quick
