Justin Vernon will channel Bob Dylan at the returning Eaux Claires festival
Bon Dylan will be Vernon's sole live outing this year with a rotating ensemble

Bon Iver is an American indie folk band founded in 2006 by singer-songwriter Justin Vernon in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Vernon initially created Bon Iver as a solo project, but it later expanded into a band comprising Vernon, Sean Carey, Michael Lewis, Matthew McCaughan, Andrew Fitzpatrick, and Jenn Wasner. Vernon released the debut album, For Emma, Forever Ago, independently in July 2007, with much of the recording taking place during a three-month period of isolation in a cabin in western Wisconsin. The band won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album in 2012 for their self-titled album, Bon Iver. Their third album, 22, A Million, was released in 2016 to critical acclaim. The fourth album, I, I, was released in 2019 and received a nomination for Album of the Year at the 2020 Grammy Awards. Their fifth album, Sable, Fable, was released in 2025. The name "Bon Iver" is derived from the French phrase bon hiver, meaning "good winter," which was used as a greeting on the television series Northern Exposure.
