About This Track

'Easy' by No Doubt is a pop track from 'Push and Shove', released in 2012. The lyrics cast the singer in a pushy, high-energy stance, leaning into street hustle imagery and a sense of being pursued, with lines about being “surrounded” and moving quickly. There is also a restlessness in the phrasing, returning to the idea of days passing and of grabbing the moment before it’s gone. Overall, it comes across as assertive, playful, and rhythmically insistent, even when the subject matter turns darker.

"Easy" is a track by No Doubt, from the album Push and Shove, released 2012. The track is 5:10 long. It's filed under Pop. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 1 article about No Doubt.

Lyrics

Easy

Gunna give me, gunna give me, gunna give me, gunna give me

Put your hands up
You're surrounded
You're circling me
'Cause I'm a hustler baby
Come, I'll bring it I can turn it off (?)

Another day I'm gone again without you
Gotta get it while it's good
I know I'm robbin' the hood
Come on, baby, come on

I'm gonna put it over there
A white flag in the air
Gonna get my way when I cease the fire
I wanna be with you
I'm dropping everything

I'm gonna take it easy
No, not gonna do a thing
Gonna take it easy, woah
I'm gonna take it easy
No, not gonna do a thing
'Cause I know you miss me, woah woah

I'm gonna do it, gotta get it perfect
And I'm running out of time
Baby, please cut in line
Come on, come get me baby, take me home

So tell me what's so great about perfect
I'm perfectly wound
Gonna throw in the towel
Come on, hey

I'm gonna take it easy
No, not gonna do a thing
Gonna take it easy, woah
I'm gonna take it easy
No, not gonna do a thing
'Cause I know you miss me, woah woah

I got to get a change in scenery
I got to get a taste greenery
I'm going to hit that ruff(??)
Yummy yum yummy

Going to get some.

?

I got to take it easy
I'm going to take it easy
No, not gonna do a thing
Gonna take it easy, woah
I'm gonna take it easy
No, not gonna do a thing
'Cause I know you miss me, woah woah

Woah, easy, woah, woah

I'm gonna put it over there
A white flag in the air
Gonna get my way when I cease the fire
I wanna be with you
I'm dropping everything

Easy, woah, woah

I'm going to be there
I'm going to be there
I'm going to be there
I'm going to be there
I'm going to be there
I wanna be there
