About the Artist
Lyrics
[Spoken] I think that I gave up a lot when I experienced loss. I gave up on a lot of things just off of that hurt. And I think that music is something that has helped me feel very alive while dealing with loss. And it has kept me a little bit happier than I would have been without it I have grieved my teenage years that were robbed by such a deep sorrow that I couldn't understand. And I grieved one of the people who raised me and the sense of community when I moved abroad alonе a few years ago. So it's quite difficult to rеach a conclusion on how to process loss as a whole when I've experienced it in so many different ways. But I've always found escape in music and something the beauty of a sad song has made me realize and this thinking quite changed my life is that if I felt so deeply about losing these things it's because having them to begin with was a privilege When you lose something it is very easy for us to let these feelings of loss consume us in ways that don't allow us to grow. And although it is very important to allow ourselves to process the feelings of loss, I also believe that it is important to realize that loss is needed so that we can keep loving deeply
