About This Track

'Monochrome' by Runnner is an alternative track from the album 'Always Repeating' (2021). The lyrics track a seasonal mismatch, moving between cold and warm places, then circling back to mental fixation, describing the urge to make something fade but finding it “stuck in static”. Colour becomes a metaphor for how memory and speech fail to land, with the narrator admitting fear about being cut off or exposed.
