Sigrid - There's Always More That I Could Say
Sigrid has never seemed more liberated or more confident.
About This Track
Sigrid cuts through a relationship's false promises with forensic clarity on 'Plot Twist'. The track opens on a note of betrayal: someone she trusted has revealed themselves as either the best thing that ever happened to her, or the most convincing deception. The song doesn't linger on confusion; instead it hardens into a refusal. She won't play along with games, won't pretend to want someone who's already squandered her faith. The production mirrors that directness. A driving beat and sharp vocal delivery push the narrative forward, each repetition of "better work on that hype, bro" landing like a dismissal. Sigrid's voice carries a tone of exhausted finality rather than anger, as though she's stating a fact the other person should have seen coming. By the final chorus, the outcome is settled: she's moved on, and no amount of revisiting will change her mind.

‘Sucker Punch’ delivers on every promise and hope Sigrid has shown since the very beginning.

Gigs can be really bloody special places. It feels like such an obvious statement; the months of build-up, that excitement as it draws nearer, the moment you turn the corner and see your favourite’s name up in lights. Tonight is all about one thing, and that’s the show ahead. A feeling of real life

Once you pop...

With the release of her 'Don't Kill My Vibe' EP earlier this year, Sigrid introduced herself as a pop sensation. Performing on Reading Festival's Dance Stage the Scandinavian artist breathes fresh life into the hype. Sugar sweet vocals hypnotise the crowd, never more so than in the set's single stripped back number. The real power here, however, lies in the songs' addictive pop punch. This is music with weight, an energy and motion destined to command, and the gathered crowd are powerless to stop it - not that anyone here wants to. Feel good almost to an extreme, it's a performance made to marvel in. So that's exactly what the audience do. Giving themselves in to the music, the energy builds with every bouncing riff. Dancing around the stage with an effortless grace, basking in the moment entirely, there's every sense that this is what Sigrid was born to do.

How do you define a superstar? We've tried many different variations (I mean it's kinda our jobs y'know) but really, it's all about a feeling. A moment in time which you can point to and say "Yes - this is the real deal" and every other description can go to…
