Lyrics

Sirens

[Verse 1]

I could settle the crowd, I could settle the crowd

What are they going to write about?

Tall girls, who will they hang out?

Tall girls play tennis on a hot summer's day

Are we playin’ too loud? Are we playin' too loud?

It's all about time we all get up and go

It’s going full circle and the lights are low

[Chorus]

Civilian west in bullet holes

Didn't hear the sirens

Busy with my girl on a Friday night

And I didn't hear the sirens

Didn't hear the sirens

Didn't hear the sirens

[Post-Chorus]

Little minorities will never understand

How much we have suffered at everyone's hand

Frosty bagels in the open stand

The great LCD is the people's band

Soon as Mr. Murphy, we're not comin’ back

Didn’t hear the sirens, were playin' their jams

Little minorities will never understand

Little minorities, the helping hand

[Verse 2]

They could settle the crowd, they could settle the crowd

What are they going to laugh about?

Abandoned bodies, puttin’ fires out

When we break up, who's gonna keep The Sopranos box set?

I'd like to keep Disc One, Disc Two because it's my favorite

Divided too strong and there’s war outside

Abiding to the face and it's mortified

Caught on film and you'll still hide

What are we goin' to cry about?

[Chorus]

Martial law and the angry mobs

Didn't hear the sirens

Busy with my girl on a Saturday night

And I didn't hear the sirens

Didn't hear the sirens

Didn't hear the sirens

[Post-Chorus]

Little minorities will never understand

How much we have suffered at everyone's hand

Frosty bagels in the open stands

The great LCD is the people's band

Soon as Mr. Murphy, we're not comin' back

Didn't hear the sirens, were playin' their jams

Little minorities will never understand

Little minorities, the helping hand

[Outro]

Didn't hear the sirens, were playin' their jams

Didn't hear the sirens, were playin' their jams

Didn't hear the sirens, were playin' their jams

Didn't hear the sirens, were playin' their jams
