Do Nothing return with details of their second album, 'Friend World'
Lead single 'Stars' arrives alongside news of the Nottingham band's November follow-up to 'Snake Sideways'.

Do Nothing are an art-rock band from Nottingham. Equal parts taut post-punk and off-beat new wave.Do Nothing may have a limited discography but have made waves since their 2018 debut with minimal post punk and nonsensical lyrics akin in delivery to that of other Nottingham stalwart Sleaford Mods.
While not exactly new on the Nottingham scene, having initially released under the name Field Studies, this new moniker has added a far wider reach for the quartet, gaining play from 6 Music for the track Lebron James (A bass driven mid tempo track akin to Interpol’s Evil) and supporting Interpol in Moscow. Their live shows have particularly caught the attention of people with front man Chris Bailey giving a comedic edge to his dry, but energetic, on stage performance accentuated by his used car salesmen esque grey suit.
Flanked by band members Andy Harrison, Charlie Howarth and Kasper Sandstrom there content so far to a slow burn, gaining momentum over the last few years from their debut in 2018 song Waitress with each song having a distinct sound while also having a cohesive artistic direction to the project. While certainly not to everyone’s taste with off kilter bass riffs, scratchy guitar and drawled lyrics, dividing opinion, they are certainly one of the most interesting bands to come out of Nottingham’s burgeoning music scene in the last few years and one to watch as the years goes on.
