About This Track

'Bugs' by SOFT PLAY is a 2018 alternative track from 'Acts of Fear and Love'. The lyrics fixate on bodies reduced to repeated parts, with the chant-like insistence of “Two arms, two legs” turning anatomy into a grim inventory. The effect is physical, blunt and slightly absurd, as if identity has been flattened to a checklist. It is an uncomfortable, confrontational way to write about what people are made from, and what that might imply.

"Bugs" is a track by SOFT PLAY, from the album Acts of Fear and Love, released 16th August 2018. The track is 3:01 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 20 articles about SOFT PLAY.

Two arms, two legs, two faces
Two arms, two legs, two faces

That's what they got, that's what they got

Back pedal, back pedal, back pedal, back
Too late, fuck you, we're not having that
Back pedal, back pedal, back pedal, back
Too late, fuck you, we're not having that
Bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs
