About This Track
'Henry's Cake' by Temples is an alternative track from the album 'Volcano' (2017). The lyrics sketch a dreamlike, almost ritualised scene, with images of being held motionless, love hovering overhead, and a hidden world turning under the ground. The voice sounds fascinated and quietly insistent, as if discovery is both invitation and condition, punctuated by the line “Love is on a hill”. Night-time wonder follows, culminating in a vivid view of orange light.
"Henry's Cake" is a track by Temples, from the album Volcano, released 1st March 2017. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 6 articles about Temples.
