About This Track

'Too Easy' finds Ye wrestling with self-sufficiency and the need for external validation. Over a spare instrumental, he cycles through a mantra of self-love: if nobody else will offer it, he will. The song touches on his divorce, framing a moment of reckoning where he had to learn to sustain himself rather than depend on another person's affection. The track builds its power through repetition and restraint. His voice sits plainly in the mix, the chorus hammering home its central claim without embellishment. There's a rawness to the production that lets the emotional weight of the lyrics breathe, turning what could have been a slogan into something that feels lived and necessary.

"TOO EASY" is a track by Ye, from the album DONDA 2, released 29th April 2025. Full lyrics are available below.

Lyrics

TOO EASY

[Intro]

Two of them, two keys

Too breeze, too easy

Too breeze, too easy

Too breeze, too easy (Yeah)

[Verse 1]

Remember mama tellin' me it'd be alright

Let go all of my problems and call Christ

I done finally made sense out this whole life

They've been tryna phony kick it my whole life

[Chorus]

But if nobody love me

I'm gonna love me

I don't need you to love me

Love me

But if nobody love me

I'm gonna love me

I don't need you to love me

Love mе

And if nobody love me

I'm gonna love mе

I don't need you to love me

Love me

[Verse 2]

My God on go, get a green light

I've been way too focused on me, right?

I don't really have to look back in hindsight

Tunnel vision, I know God got my blind side

[Chorus]

'Cause if nobody love me

I'm gonna love me

I don't need you to love me

Love me

But if nobody love me

I'm gonna love me

I don't need you to love me

Love me

[Instrumental Break]

[Chorus]

Ain't nobody love me

I'm gonna love me

I don't need you to love me

Love me

Ain't nobody love me

I'm gonna love me

I don't need you to love me

Love me

Ain't nobody love me

I'm gonna love me

I don't need you to love me

Love me
