Tommy WÁ has shared new single
‘Alleluya (Another World)’, marking the Nigerian-born, Ghana-based musician’s first new music of 2026.
The track follows last year’s ‘
Somewhere Only We Go’ EP and arrives ahead of three performances at
The Great Escape in Brighton next week.
Drawing from African folk music alongside wider influences picked up through radio and online music communities, ‘Alleluya (Another World)’ finds Tommy WÁ pushing further into the soulful, spiritual songwriting that’s shaped his work so far.
“To all my friends and lovers past, this is a song about our never-ending dialogue, about how there has to be somewhere/something better than this temporal place we find ourselves,” he says. “My faith affirms this and almost like an alter call, I am welcoming folks into my belief that there is another world out there where our praise is the biggest currency and all the things we put value in on earth don't matter a single bit.”
Tommy WÁ has described his songwriting process as being inspired by faith and travel, shaped by experiences across Africa, Europe and beyond.
He’ll play three shows at The Great Escape across 15th and 16th May.
