A new David Bowie-inspired ‘Bowie Nights’ series has been announced for London, with Anna Calvi, Adam Buxton and more
A season of talks, performances and late nights runs at King's Cross through summer 2026.

A new season of live events inspired by the work of David Bowie is heading to Lightroom in King's Cross, running between May and September 2026. Dubbed Bowie Nights, the programme brings together musicians, photographers, designers and comedians whose work intersects with Bowie's creative legacy.
Among the highlights, guitarist and songwriter Anna Calvi will appear alongside Bowie's longtime musical director and co-writer Carlos Alomar for an event titled In Conversation with Guitars on 10th June, blending discussion with live musical demonstration as they explore Bowie's songwriting. Comedian and podcaster Adam Buxton brings his BUG live show for a Bowie-focused special across four dates in June and July, dedicated to exploring Bowie's music videos.
Graphic designer Jonathan Barnbrook, responsible for the artwork on every Bowie album from 'Heathen' through to '★', will deliver a talk on 19th May. A week later, on 26th May, six photographers who worked with Bowie - Geoff MacCormack, Kevin Cummins, Richard Young, Brian Aris, Denis O'Regan and Chris Duffy - will discuss their selected works in a conversation hosted by journalist Miranda Sawyer. Composer and cellist Peter Gregson rounds out the announced programme with a unique recital across 3rd, 4th and 5th September.
All events sit alongside 'David Bowie: You're Not Alone', Lightroom's new production opening on 22nd April. Directed by Mark Grimmer and Tom Wexler, the show draws on material from the David Bowie Archive in New York, presented across four-storey projection walls with spatial audio reconfigured by sound designer Gareth Fry. The production is fully authorised by the David Bowie Estate.
Lightroom CEO Richard Slaney said: "David Bowie: You're Not Alone invites audiences at Lightroom to experience the imagination and creativity of David Bowie. It vividly depicts how he played with, and drew upon all forms of culture in his music and performance; so, it's a natural extension to explore his impact through this fantastic series of events, featuring both artists who worked with him and those who continue to be inspired by his legacy."
Tickets for the main show are priced from £25 for adults and £15 for students and concessions.
