
Ezra Collective have announced their fourth album 'Here Because of Hope'
Pa Salieu features on the album's lead single 'Only Love' from the Mercury winners.

Ezra Collective is a British jazz quintet formed by Femi Koleoso, TJ Koleoso, Joe Armon-Jones, Ife Ogunjobi, and James Mollison. The members met at the jazz youth programme Tomorrow's Warriors and established the group shortly thereafter. The band incorporates elements of afrobeat, calypso, reggae, hip-hop, soul, and jazz. They have collaborated with other London-based jazz musicians such as Nubya Garcia and Moses Boyd. Ezra Collective received the 2023 Mercury Music Prize. Their 2024 single 'God Gave Me Feet for Dancing' was included in Barack Obama's list of 25 favorite songs of the year. At the Brit Awards 2025, they became the first jazz band to win the "Group of the Year" award.

The track is inspired by Olabisi Ajala, a renowned Ghanaian-Nigerian explorer known for his extensive travels across 87 countries on a scooter.

They won the prize ahead of current Dork cover stars Jockstrap, Loyle Carner, Olivia Dean, Jessie Ware, J Hus, RAYE, Shygirl, Young Fathers, Arctic Monkeys, Fred Again.. and Lankum.

The track is a tribute to the Afrobeat pioneer and a celebration of his enduring legacy, and will be featured on a limited edition 7" vinyl.

The full LP will be shared this Friday, November 4th, via Partisan Records.

The news comes alongside a new single, 'Life Goes On', featuring Sampa The Great'.

Following on from March's 'May The Funk Be With You' single, the new track comes alongside a Femi Ladi-directed video.

Following up on December's Novelist collab 'More Than A Hustler', the song is their first new material of 2022.
