PIRI & TOMMY

Piri & Tommy were an English drum and bass duo formed in 2021, consisting of Sophie "Piri" McBurnie and Tommy Villiers. The pair met in 2020 through Instagram, where McBurnie contacted Villiers after discovering his account, and they subsequently began dating. They shared an interest in dance artists such as Disclosure and Kaytranada, which led to their collaboration. Villiers produced McBurnie's first two singles, "It's a Match" and "Soft Spot," the latter of which received over 18 million streams on Spotify. The duo released singles including "Beachin" and "On & On," which appeared on their debut mixtape, froge.mp3, released in October 2022. Their single "On & On" charted at number 99 on the UK Singles Chart. They performed at the 2022 Reading Festival and were signed to Polydor Records. In November 2022, Piri & Tommy released a cover of Charli XCX's "Unlock It," which gained popularity on TikTok with an accompanying dance.
