Liberty X is a British girl group formed by five finalists of the 2001 ITV talent show Popstars who did not become part of the winning group Hear'Say. The group consisted of Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor, and Kelli Young, with Tony Lundon and Kevin Simm also part of the best-known line-up. They released their debut album, Thinking It Over, on 27 May 2002, which included their single 'Just a Little' that achieved international success. Their second album, Being Somebody, was released on 3 November 2003 but did not replicate the commercial performance of their debut. After disappointing sales, the group was dropped from their label and later signed with Virgin, releasing a final album, X, on 10 October 2005. Liberty X disbanded in 2007. The group achieved ten consecutive UK top 20 singles and charted singles internationally, surpassing the commercial success of Hear'Say. The original lineup toured from 2013 until 2014.
