Silk Sonic is an American musical duo consisting of musicians Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak. The duo collaborated during Mars's 24K Magic World Tour (2017–2018), leading to the recording of their debut album, An Evening with Silk Sonic, released in 2021. The album debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 and received positive reviews from critics. It produced several singles, including "Leave the Door Open," which topped the US Billboard Hot 100 and the New Zealand charts, and "Smokin out the Window," which achieved commercial success. Other singles included "Skate," which charted, and "Love's Train" and "After Last Night," which also gained some recognition. "Leave the Door Open" spent 18 weeks in the top ten and two weeks at number one. Most singles from the album topped the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart, making it the second album with four number-one singles on that chart. Silk Sonic received multiple award nominations, including the BET Award for Best Group in 2021 and 2022 and the Brit Award for International Group in 2022. The single "Leave the Door Open" received several nominations and won four Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
