
The Knocks and Perfume Genius have reimagined Bronski Beat's 1984 debut single 'Smalltown Boy'
The collaboration features on the upcoming 40th anniversary reissue of Bronski Beat's debut album.

The Knocks are an American electronic music duo composed of Ben "B-Roc" Ruttner and James "JPatt" Patterson. They have released four full-length albums: HISTORY, New York Narcotic, 55, and Revelation, as well as five EPs including Melody & Silence, Summer Series: 2019, TESTIFY, So Classic, and Magic. Their record releases have been issued through labels such as Big Beat Records, Neon Gold, Atlantic Records, and their own Black Clay HeavyRoc Music. The duo is known for singles such as "Classic" featuring Powers, "Ride or Die" featuring Foster the People, and "Bodies" featuring MUNA. They have collaborated with artists including Sofi Tukker on the track "Best Friend," Purple Disco Machine on "Fireworks," and ODESZA on "Love Letter." Their work also includes numerous remixes. The Knocks received two Grammy nominations: one for Best Dance/Electronic Album of the Year for their contribution to "Love Letter," and another for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical.
