Deaf Havana have just dropped a reworked version of their latest album. ‘All These Countless Nights – Reworked’ - out now via So Recordings - features both the original album track-listing on disc one, as well as a trio of bonus tracks, while disc two features the entire album reworked. It's been a fun project, say frontman James, and something they're planning to air live on tour this November. Hey James, you guys have had a busy year following ‘All These Countless Nights’ - any particular highlights? We have indeed, which is pretty new for us haha we haven't been the busiest of bands in the past few years. I think the biggest highlight for me was our headline show in February this year at the Kentish Town Forum in London. It was potentially my favourite show of all time, I have never heard a crowd sing that loudly in my life and pretty much everyone I care about was in the room. It was just an extremely overwhelming experience. How did you go about reworking tracks for the deluxe version, were any of them alternate versions that nearly made it onto the original record? There weren't any versions that almost made it onto the original record. Actually, they were all pretty much new versions. For some of the tracks we basically tried to get as far away from the original as possible, for instance, 'L.O.V.E' is the darkest and heaviest song on the original record, so we decided to make it into a feel-good acoustic song. I always enjoy projects like this because I like to think of a song as just an idea that has multiple different potential ways in which it could turn out, the original versions are just one of those, so it's nice to have another chance to let the song take a completely different path.
