Moriah Rose Pereira, born January 1, 1995, is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and YouTuber known professionally as Poppy. She gained recognition through her performance art videos on YouTube starting in 2014, in which she portrayed an android satirizing Internet culture and modern society. During this period, she collaborated with Titanic Sinclair until 2019, when she ended the partnership following allegations of emotional abuse. In 2024, she launched the web series Improbably Poppy. Her early music, primarily pop-influenced, achieved moderate sales with her first two albums. She attained mainstream success after shifting to heavy metal and industrial rock with her third album, I Disagree (2020), which entered the Billboard 200 chart. The single "Bloodmoney" from that album was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance, making her the first solo female artist to receive a nomination in that category. After a period of experimentation, she experienced a critical resurgence with her sixth album, Negative Spaces (2024). In the same year, she featured on Bad Omens's track "V.A."
